Emergency First Response Primary Secondary and Care for Children Course
The EFR Combo Course which is the Emergency First Response Primary (CPR), Secondary (First Aid) and Care for Children programs covers emergency care for life-threatening situations, patient assessment on how to conduct patient head-to-toe evaluations and emergency care to a sick or injured children and infants when Emergency Medical Service personnel are unavailable or delayed.
What To Expect
The Emergency First Response Primary, Secondary, and Care for Children is and EFR combo course which covers a mix of independent study via eLearning and then a hands-on approach learning about rescue procedures for adults, children and infants through a controlled setting with skill practice and then role-played real-life scenario practice.
Schedule in Kota Kinabalu
Prior to Practical Day
Complete EFR eLearning prior to the below schedule
Day One
8am – Meet at the Malaysia Mermaid Club Classroom
8.15am – Welcome and Registration
8.30am – Review of EFR eLearning and EFR CFC eLearning
9am – Watch EFR Video
10.30am – Care for Children Knowledge Development
11am – Start with Primary Care Skills 1-9 plus CFC 1-5
12.30pm – Lunch
1.30pm – Continue with Primary Care Skills 1 – 9 plus CFC 1-5
3pm – Secondary Care Skills 1 – 4
3.30pm – Scenario Practice 1 – 5 plus CFC Scenario Practice
5pm – EFR Final Exam
6pm – Certification and Finish the EFR program
Requirements to Take Part
Anyone of any age can take part in this course. There are no minimum certification requirements. Previous CPR or First Aid training is not required.

The EFR program is available in English, Bahasa Melayu, Chinese, Chinese Mandarin, Cantonese, and Hakka.
