The PADI Basic Mermaid course is the first step to getting a PADI Mermaid license. The course combines learning knowledge development principles and applying that in a swimming pool which introduces mermaid skill development by having lots of fun. The PADI Basic Mermaid course covers mermaid diving’s background and culture, safety considerations, equipment and basic water skills.

What To Expect

The PADI Basic Mermaid course consists of two sections:

• Through PADI Mermaid eLearning you will study independently using the PADI online system to study the PADI Basic Mermaid eLearning. This will take approximately 1-2 hours.
• In a swimming pool session, you will learn and practice basic mermaid diving skills, problem prevention, self-rescue skills, and how to make mermaid dives

PADI Basic Mermaid Schedule

Requirement to Take Part

To enroll in the PADI Basic Mermaid course, you must be at least six years old. You need to be able to swim at least 25metres without swim aids and be able to float comfortably at the surface for at least 3 mins. You must also be in good physical health.

Available Languages

The Basic Mermaid program is available in English, Bahasa Melayu, Chinese, Chinese Mandarin, Cantonese, Hakka and Korean.
