Angelia’s Mermaid Adventures
Angelia’s Mermaid Adventures in May 2023 has seen me teach PADI Merman to become beautiful underwater mermaids. I have also hosted a mermaid event in Kota Kinabalu introducing the Malaysia Mermaid Club to the Marine Research Foundation and Tommy Wong, a PADI Freediver Instructor so the mermaids can learn more about breath-hold techniques to stay underwater for longer. I also continue to teach kids mermaid programs and had the chance to allow my little mermaids the chance to perform in an aquarium. I also had the opportunity to watch Disney The Little Mermaid in the cinema with my friends.
Mermaid Event
I hosted a mermaid event in Kota Kinabalu at the Sutera Harbour Marina in which I invited the members of the Malaysia Mermaid Club to attend. During the event I discussed on the different mermaid skills and performances we can all learn. I also introduced the club members to Marine Research Foundation (MRF) who discussed about ocean environmental awareness and what us mermaids can do to help the ocean. Tommy Wong, a PADI Freediver Instructor and owner of PADI Dive Centre Baby Shark also joined the event providing valuable tips and hints on how mermaids can stay underwater for longer by holding their breath.
PADI Merman
This month in May I had the chance to expand the Malaysia Mermaid Club to teach Desmond and Alden the PADI Mermaid course. They are some of the first PADI Merman in Kota Kinabalu, Sabah. Congratulations!!!
Kids Mermaid
The Malaysia Mermaid Club is all about fun, fun, and more fun and with the young mermaids keep practicing their skills and keep following the training sessions they were able to plunge away and mermaid at AquaScape in preparation for a mermaid performance in June. Stay tuned for information and more kids learning to become PADI Mermaids in Kota Kinabalu.
Disney’s The Little Mermaid
Since I was a young girl growing up and watching the cartoon version of Disney’s The Little Mermaid, I always wanted to have my fairytale dream come true and I am living that dream now of being the first PADI Mermaid Instructor in Kota Kinabalu and with the release of the The Little Mermaid in 2023 I was able to go to the cinema at the first showing to watch this incredible movie. I loved the storyline and I loved Ariel and her magical story. This movie means so much to me and the Malaysia Mermaid Club I will treasure this memory for ever.
